本校為協助在美制高中就讀之學生取得中文校外學分，特制定辦法。
Irvine Chinese School (ICS) offers a special program to high school students (9th through 12th graders) whereby they can earn high school credits for Chinese language study.
申請資格—現為美制高中九年級以上之學生，且選課項目符合規定者。
Qualification --- must be a high school student, 9th through 12th graders.
申請步驟 Application procedure:
- 向本校語文老師登記。
Register with your ICS language teacher
- 向美制學校領取校外學分申請表，填妥後交與語文老師。
Obtain an Application and Authorization for Private Instruction Credit for Foreign Language from your high school. Turn in the form to your ICS language teacher.
- 申請表經校長簽名核准後由老師發還學生。
Upon approval by the ICS Principal, the form will be returned to the student.
- 再將報名表送回美制高中，請該校校長或指定代表簽名登記。
The student must take the form and obtain approval from the high school Principal or an authorized agent.
- 向美制高中領回申請表，再交還中文學校老師。
Return the form to ICS.
申請期限—自中文學校開學後四週內辦妥手續，且選課項目符合規定者。逾期不予受 理。每學期均需重新辦理申請手續。
Application should be completed within first 4 weeks of each school year. Some high school may require the student to re-apply each semester.
學分總數—學生按時完成申請手續，並按規定完成指定作業者，每學期可獲校外學分五學分。其學分申請總數以不超過其美制高中學區之限制為準，爾灣學區至多可申請十個學分。
Maximum credits --- a student may earn up to 5 high school credits, but not to exceed the maximum credits allowable by each student’s respective high school.
指定作業—申請校外學分者，須完成下列三項指定作業 Program requirement:
- 每週上課五小時，並完成一般語文課之指定作業。
Attend 5 hours of classroom instruction weekly. Complete all assignments.
- 每週另作一小時之課外作業(約250個中文字之文章一篇)。
Participate in approved projects and independent study for no less than 1 hour weekly.
- 每學期參加指定之一項文化活動。
Participate in various extracurricular culture activities.
評分標準—申請校外學，每學期末將獲得二項成績。
- 一般校內語文
- 校外學分成績，此為校內語文課成績之指定作業 (2)、(3)項中的總平均成績。
附註 Note:
- 無法參與文化活動者，須向語文老師請假並每次補作四個小時之作業。
- 如無故缺席一次者，除補作四個小時之作業外，另扣校外學分總成績五分。
- 無故缺席文化活動二次者，以自動放棄該學期校外學分成績論。
- 學區申請表格，每學期上課總時數須填80小時。
- 申請校外學分選課科目有限,詳情請洽選課組。
